Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, system authorization, or information assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with RMF, audit logs, security documentation, or related cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review technical information accurately.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Active TS or TS+ clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications (Security+, CYSA+, etc.) are helpful but not required for entry level.

Responsibilities

  • Support cybersecurity assessment and authorization processes for organizational systems.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation required for system authorizations using Risk Management Framework (RMF) tools and processes.
  • Perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and basic System Administrator support tasks.
  • Conduct audit log collection, review, and reporting in accordance with security plans and policies.
  • Support continuous monitoring activities to maintain system compliance.
  • Assist with user account creation, validation of required training, and resolution of access issues.
  • Provide basic incident response support in coordination with designated cybersecurity offices.
  • Contribute to TEMPEST/emissions security program activities, including documentation updates and routine inspections.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports for leadership following inspections or assigned cybersecurity tasks.
  • Support J6 information technology functions including information management, database support, and IT coordination as needed.
