About The Position

The Customer Service/Senior Department Leader is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, embracing the Customer 1st strategy. This role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment to encourage customer returns, and achieving Front-end performance goals and best practices. The leader will drive the department in reaching sales and profit goals, monitor quality assurance standards, and direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Front-end department. They are also responsible for the execution of best practices, goals, and established standards for the department, and must demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Smith’s Food and Drug, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and serves customers in over 140 stores across multiple states.
