About The Position

The Customer Solutions Representative (CSR) plays a critical role in delivering workforce services to customers through client career centers and coordinated referrals to community partners. This position focuses on building strong customer relationships, assessing employment goals, and connecting individuals to job opportunities, training resources, and support services. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service skills, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting diverse job seekers.

Requirements

  • Understanding of local communities, labor markets, and employment resources
  • Ability to learn and use computer systems, databases, and programs, including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse customers who have varying needs and communication styles
  • Capability to handle challenging situations and resolve difficult customer interactions professionally
  • Sensitivity to customer needs with demonstrated empathy and concern for others
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to learn multiple systems, platforms, and workforce programs
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, Board staff, and the public
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with a good driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Six months of relevant experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers by telephone, virtually, or in person to assess goals, provide information, and assist job seekers transitioning to new employment
  • Review job opportunities and provide referrals to qualified customers
  • Advise customers on local labor market conditions, employment services, education and training resources, and available workforce programs
  • Support customers with resume development, application completion, interview preparation, and appropriate workplace attire guidance
  • Develop and maintain constructive, cooperative working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and the public
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce services to better meet labor market needs
  • Contribute to performance goals, including customer service standards and follow-up requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned and fulfill responsibilities as required
