About The Position

The Customer Solutions Representative, CSR , plays a vital role in supporting client's program outreach and development initiatives. This position focuses on customer engagement, data entry, and clerical support while building meaningful relationships with customers and community partners. The CSR assists individuals in accessing employment resources, career services, and workforce programs through Career Centers and referral networks, helping customers successfully transition into new employment opportunities.

Requirements

  • Prior knowledge of workforce development, career counseling, or employment services is beneficial
  • Understanding of local communities, labor market trends, and available employment resources
  • Ability to learn and utilize computer systems and applications, including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and individuals with varying needs and communication styles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and learn multiple systems, platforms, and service programs
  • Capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, board staff, and the public
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license with proof of insurance and a satisfactory driving record
  • Six months of relevant experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • This role requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally and includes standing, sitting, bending, and walking as part of regular job duties.
  • Visual acuity, speech, and hearing are required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers via telephone, virtual platforms, and in person to assess goals, provide guidance, and support job seekers transitioning into new roles
  • Review and identify suitable job opportunities, providing referrals to qualified candidates
  • Advise customers on the local job market, employment services, educational opportunities, and available workforce resources
  • Assist with resume development, application completion, interview preparation, and professional presentation guidance
  • Build and maintain constructive, cooperative relationships with internal teams, the public, and external community partners
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve workforce services to better align with labor market needs
  • Support Career Center performance goals, including customer service standards and timely follow-up with participants
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program objectives
