You will develop solutions to existing challenges, uncovering opportunities the utility may not yet recognize, and collaborating across Westinghouse teams to create proposals that enhance the AP1000® Plant design. You will report to the Senior Manager, AP1000 Engineered Solutions and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering field required
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Complete Sophomore year of college
- Experience with Mathcad, MATLAB, or VBA
- Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000
- No relocation assistance provided
Responsibilities
- Identify and Collect engineering improvements and optimizations
- You will help develop resource demand signal for engineering and manufacturing
- Support project teams to understand status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution
- You will help classify intellectual property (IP) and evaluating the risk of release to external partners (e.g., customers, 3rd parties)
- Support aggregating product financials and regular financial forecasting
- Collaborate with global product management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and new ideas
