About The Position

Winpak Portion Packaging is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to join their Customer Service, Logistics, and Planning team based out of Sauk Village, Illinois in a 100% onsite role. In this position, the supervisor will lead day-to-day customer service operations, support a team of coordinators, and serve as a key partner to Production and Shipping to help ensure customer needs are met with accuracy, urgency, and professionalism. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer service leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys improving processes, solving problems, and developing people.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service, order management, logistics support, or a related function. This should include experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires strong prioritization and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems effectively, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing, packaging, supply chain, or production-driven environment.
  • Experience supporting shipping coordination, delivery schedules, or customer order fulfillment.
  • Experience improving workflows, standard operating procedures, or team processes.
  • Prior experience handling escalated customer issues and balancing service needs with operational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily customer service activities to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality support to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor escalated customer issues and drive prompt resolution while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Partner closely with Production and Shipping to establish effective shipping schedules and improve delivery performance.
  • Proactively communicate risks, service concerns, and operational challenges to cross-functional teams.
  • Review and approve pricing authorizations in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of coordinators by fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to support employee growth and performance.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and training of standard operating procedures to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Support department goals, follow up on key requests, and contribute to ongoing operational success.
