About The Position

As Alpha Warranty’s Customer Service Representative – Claims Specialist, you’re the advocate for our customers during the vehicle repair claim process. You work with them by phone, email, and chat messaging to ensure an understanding of their service contract coverage benefits and claim status, while accurately typing notes of the call in our system. With every interaction we work to empower our customers with information. Some calls may require your skillful abilities to de-escalate strong emotions. We love being able to say, “yes, we’ll cover the repair”, and do it daily, but know this isn’t the case with every claim. Your professionalism, knowledge, patience, and personal resilience are critical during these customer conversations; no one likes dealing with unexpected or expensive car repairs. How would you feel if it were your car…! Don’t worry, you don’t need an understanding of how cars work, but it helps to have an appreciation and willingness to learn more. Our Claims department, full of ASE certified mechanics, works directly with the repair facility to review and decide the customer’s claim. Alpha Warranty Services has onsite, full-time, Monday-Friday, opportunities in our Customer Service department located in South Jordan, Utah. The pay for this entry position starts at $17-$19.25/hour, depending on customer service experience, +$1/hr. for bilingual Portuguese/English language skills. Up to $400 in monthly performance bonus can be earned. Requirements

  • Customer-facing service experience is required
  • At least 1 year call center experience is required
  • Clear and professional verbal and written English communication skills – bilingual Spanish/English skills are highly valued, but not required
  • Comfort navigating current technology such as computers, phones, internet, and various software
  • Accurate typing skills with a speed of at least 30+ WPM
  • Emotional resilience, empathy, and active listening skills
  • High-quality results with a strong attention to details
  • Thoughtful problem-solving skills, good judgement, and the willingness to find solutions
  • Ability to collaboratively work with others, including a willingness to step up when extra help is needed
  • Capacity to embrace change and new opportunities as we continue to grow
  • Your high school diploma or GED equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

  • Vehicle repair experience, knowledge, and/or interest is a huge plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Working with other internal departments, like Sales, to help resolve customer concerns
