The representative influences Motion Industries' gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within certain parameters and may adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet competitive demands while maximizing profit. Building customer relationships is crucial for driving repeat business and process improvements. The position also entails ordering items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers, placing orders without approval up to specified limits, sourcing products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventory, and determining the most cost-effective shipping methods. The Customer Service Representative partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction, expedites backorders, and may also pull inventory, prepare orders for shipment, and handle customer returns.
