About The Position

U-Haul is seeking friendly, motivated individuals for the Customer Service Representative position located at 5810 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be a key part of a supportive team, representing U-Haul's exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their moving needs, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and utilizing up-to-date technology for dispatching and returning equipment. The company emphasizes a 'Hire Fast, Pay Fast' approach, offering payment for two hands-on working interviews and a $100 hiring bonus. Additionally, a $300 cash bonus is provided upon completing the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through their 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program. The position also offers on-the-job education. Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers, founded by L.S. "Sam" Shoen and Anna Mary Carty Shoen to meet the widespread need for one-way, nationwide moving equipment after World War II, thereby facilitating mobility across the U.S. and Canada.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
Other duties as assigned
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
