About The Position

R1 is an industry leader transforming how hospitals and health systems support patients with cutting-edge technology, automation, and compassionate human care. As a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration, you will be the first friendly face patients meet when they check into the hospital. This role involves helping patients navigate the registration process, answering questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion, gathering accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment, and building trust with patients during potentially stressful moments. No healthcare background is required as R1 provides training, and this role serves as a fantastic launchpad for a growing healthcare career. Patients will lean on you for support and reassurance, making you a calm, helpful presence during stressful times. You will gain valuable knowledge and skills in healthcare, from insurance basics to hospital workflows, opening doors to long-term career growth. The role is fast-paced, involving movement between computer screens, phone calls, and in-person interactions, balancing accuracy with compassion while working alongside clinicians and emergency staff. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service experience

  • Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time
