About The Position

Provide quality and efficiency to customers who prefer face to face interaction with the bank. This position will have a thorough understanding of the customer’s financial needs and be able to effectively communicate appropriate products and services matching the customer’s needs. Support all daily operations of the branch, including timely and efficient completion of client transactions, while maintaining accurate records and through proper handling of all monies assigned. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, i.e., cash handling, common customer maintenance requests, etc. Normally receives detailed instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments Accepts and accurately processes all financial transactions. Maintains responsibility for a cash drawer and follows proper balancing procedures. Provides excellent customer service by providing answers and assistance for customers’ questions and concerns. Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to follow. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Farmers and Merchants Bank values of community banking. Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. In the performance of the respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to successfully perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision, interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers; work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player with an energetic positive attitude.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • PC proficient; Competent with Microsoft Office – Windows, Word and Excel.
