About The Position

Your Job: In this role, the Customer Service Liaison will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers. This person is someone who is motivated and able to handle a wide range of customer service inquiries, takes the initiative in resolving customer issues, and helps navigate our patients and visitors while in our facility. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Methodist Richardson Medical Center is a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that serves Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties. We are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center as well as the nation’s first hospital to receive The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval ® for Pancreatic/Hepatic/Biliary Cancer Certification. We also provide services at Methodist Richardson Medical Center – Campus for Continuing Care, which include a behavioral health and addiction recovery unit, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care, and more. Requirements

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent required

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, teammates, healthcare professionals, vendors, and visitors
  • Assist with departmental locations, wayfinding, and handling a wide range of inquiries
  • Assist with patient throughput
  • Provided excellent customer service; cordially greets customers, anticipates needs, and willing to collaborate to provide the best patient experience possible
  • Answers telephones, screens and routes calls to proper location
  • Maintains a clean work environment
  • Provides wheelchair assistance as needed when appropriate
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrate computer literacy
  • Effectively adheres to MHS policies, guidelines, and care commitments including confidentiality of all patient and business information
  • Escalates issues to the proper person in a timely manner
  • Maintain supplies and place order for additional supplies as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
