About The Position

The Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging with customers on behalf of the company. This position will answer phone calls and/or emails from customers. Enter Sales Orders, work with production, and the shipping departments to meet customer expectations while creating a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High school or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years Customer service/Inside sales experience in a manufacturing company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Sage/Peach Tree and Act! Is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process all customer orders and requirements in a timely manner
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time efficiently and adapt to an ever-changing work day
  • Manage a high volume of emails and effectively monitor and respond in a timely manner
  • Input orders accurate, valid and complete information
  • Build sustainable relationships with customers through trust and interactive communication
  • Identify and assess customer needs by analyzing past data and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Make sales suggestions to existing customer
  • Resolve complaints and documents appropriately within the established time frames
  • Track customer trends and suggest blanket orders where appropriate to give customers price breaks / volume incentives
  • Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including but not limited to; fax machine, copy machine, scanning, computer and phone.
  • Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Checking with customer to see on moving over stock that is in inventory
  • Slow Business – checking in with customer to see if they have any current or future needs.
  • Blanket Orders – checking in with customer to see if they would like to put in a blanket order to make sure material is on hand and to lock in pricing.
  • Assist with Accounts receivables 30, 60 and 90 day.
