About The Position

Northwest Mechanical is a premier home comfort specialist, proudly serving the greater Seattle area and Eastside. The company values a strong team and commits to taking care of its employees and their families. They have an immediate opening for a Customer Service/Dispatcher to join their team. This role involves promptly responding to customer calls, emails, or texts and addressing their needs or concerns. The dispatcher will maintain the Service Technicians' daily schedules, assign service technicians to jobs throughout the day, and make follow-up customer calls regarding unsold estimates or outstanding issues. Coordination with purchasing for special parts and keeping customers informed of lead times is also required. The position also entails maintaining the customer database with current information and ensuring clear and concise communications with customers and co-workers.

Requirements

  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Impeccable phone etiquette while "smiling through the phone"
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational competency
  • Geographical knowledge of service area or map reading skills
  • Experience working within maintenance industry
  • Advanced computer skills
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training in customer service, dispatching or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years HVAC dispatching experience
  • Working knowledge of HVAC industry
  • Experience working with Service Titan dispatching software a plus
  • Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to customer calls, emails, or texts and address their needs or concerns.
  • Maintain the Service Technicians daily schedules and assign service technicians to jobs as they are created throughout the day.
  • Make follow up customer calls regarding unsold estimates or outstanding issues.
  • Coordinate with purchasing where special parts need ordered from supply houses and manufacturers and keep customer informed of lead time.
  • Maintain customer database with current information.
  • Clear and concise communications with customers and co-workers.
