About The Position
The Customer Service Desk is the first point of contact for incoming patrons. The is one of the most important roles in the stores. As a Customer Service Associate, you are ensuring customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries and concerns. Summary of the position: Our customer service desk team greet customers upon entering the store, answers and forwards all incoming calls, responds to customer questions, comments, and complaints (involving management when necessary).The team p rocesses and updates customer requests for company Perx Card (our company loyalty card). Customer service associates s ells and cash New York State Lottery transactions while adhering to all state and county regulations. The team p roperly process cash transactions, all forms of payments and discounts, EBT, WIC, coupons, and store discounts.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Part time availability - with at least two days during the week and one weekend shift
- At least 2 years of friendly and welcoming customer service; previous cashiering experience required
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to handle stressful situations carefully
- Highly motivated individual
- Team player with the ability to work independently at times
- Ability to multitask
- Focused and efficient
- The ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time
Nice To Haves
- Grocery and/or retail experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon entering the store
