About The Position

The Customer Service Desk is the first point of contact for incoming patrons. The is one of the most important roles in the stores. As a Customer Service Associate, you are ensuring customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries and concerns. Summary of the position: Our customer service desk team greet customers upon entering the store, answers and forwards all incoming calls, responds to customer questions, comments, and complaints (involving management when necessary).The team processes and updates customer requests for company Perx Card (our company loyalty card). Customer service associates sells and cash New York State Lottery transactions while adhering to all state and county regulations. The team properly process cash transactions, all forms of payments and discounts, EBT, WIC, coupons, and store discounts.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Part time availability - with at least two days during the week and one weekend shift
  • At least 2 years of friendly and welcoming customer service; previous cashiering experience required
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to handle stressful situations carefully
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Team player with the ability to work independently at times
  • Ability to multitask
  • Focused and efficient
  • The ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Grocery and/or retail experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers upon entering the store
