About The Position

Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Customer Service Representative at our Florence, SC location. In this role, you will provide our customers with expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems. Unlike most CSR roles, you will build ongoing business relationships with our customers through repeated contact and consultation. As this is a service and parts center, our ability to get customers’ business often depends on your ability to quickly and efficiently provide them with the right parts and/or solutions – especially when customers are experiencing costly equipment breakdowns. You may also occasionally have hands-on duties that will require mechanical aptitude.

  • Computer literacy with focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, etc

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years of Industrial or Fluid Power components sales experience
  • SAP experience would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Inside Sales responsibilities
  • Directly engaged in all sales activities
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of the company’s service offerings
  • Prospecting for new customers and demonstrate product benefits
  • Build ongoing relationships with customers
  • Responding to customer product inquiries both in person (branch) and via phone/email
  • Providing support to the outside sales force
  • Ensuring accurate, timely order processing through the computerized order processing system
