About The Position

The Global Account Opening team at U.S. Bank is seeking a Custody Operations Analyst 2. This role is responsible for the management and oversight of Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking client accounts and products of various types and sizes. The analyst provides technical, industry, process, and troubleshooting support to a team of operation Specialists within their unit. The primary focus is on day-to-day deliverables, developing solutions based on subject expertise, and occasionally representing the department at a broader level. The position may also contribute to strategic planning within its area of expertise. Key accountabilities include the completion of daily processing activities, delivering high levels of customer service, and identifying and minimizing risk within the control environment, process efficiency, and effective customer issue resolution. The responsibilities carry various levels of risk depending on the account or product type and size. The role may involve supervisory responsibilities and requires the application of independent judgment and decision-making based on expertise.

Requirements

  • Three years or more of related experience

  • Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn custody operational functions, systems, procedures, various products and/or services, for assigned area(s)
  • Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment

  • Exhibits customer relation skills, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking business lines and clients

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking client accounts and products of various types and sizes.
  • Provide technical, industry, process, and trouble-shooting support for products or accounts to a team of operation Specialists within their own unit/discipline.
  • Focus on day-to-day deliverables.
  • Develop solutions based upon subject expertise.
  • Occasionally represent the department at a broader level.
  • May contribute to strategic planning within area of expertise.
  • Be accountable for the completion of daily processing activities.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Be responsible for the identification of and minimization of risk in the control environment, process efficiency and effective customer issue resolution.
  • May be required to provide supervisory responsibilities.
  • Apply independent judgement and decision making based on area of expertise.
