About The Position

Baywood Court is committed to seniors so they may live in health, happiness and dignity. We are a very active and modern not for profit senior living community nestled in Castro Valley, CA. We are looking for motivated individuals with a willingness to learn and the desire to make a positive impact on the residents that live within our community. Position available for 1 full-time Custodian Shift: Monday - Friday 9:30am to 6:00pm Must be available to work weekends required. Pay scale: $19 - $20 to start Must complete employment application online to advance to next step! We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. Requirements

• Have an interest in and ability to work with older adults.
• Completion of 8th grade education is desirable.
• Have the ability to follow simple instructions.
• Ability to read and write English is preferred.
• Ability to perform routine repetitive with minimal supervision.
• Works well with other and as a team player.
• Aptitude for performing all housekeeping related tasks.
• Commitment to performing with high quality standards.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to individuals with janitorial/custodian experience and a good work record.

Responsibilities

• Clean hallways daily- vacuum, wall spot and wipe hand rails.
• Clean offices/ conference rooms (weekly or as needed). Vacuum, wall spot, empty trash, wipe down telephones, key boards, dust, clean any attached area(s) such as bathrooms/kitchenettes.
• Set-up/breakdown for meetings.
• Cleaning/policing of common areas daily - vacuum, dust, wall spot, empty trash.
• Cleaning/policing public restrooms daily - defecting toilets, counter tops, wall spot in stalls and partitions, sweep and mop.
• Cleaning elevators/tracks daily - wall spotting inside the elevators, disinfecting buttons, polishing the steel inside and outside, clean and polish elevator tracks.
• Housekeeping duties will be required.
