Specific to this position: Supervises employees who maintain the cleanliness, sanitation and custodial services of facilities, adjacent restrooms and spill response. Supervises skilled employees who respond to spills, pressure wash and operate equipment such as forklifts, payloaders, barrel crusher, etc. Sets priorities, develops schedules, troubleshoots, prevent and resolves problems. Allocates the resources, tools and material needed to complete multiple tasks. Ensure that we provide a quality service to our customers. The Foreman needs to be able to multitask, direct a staff of multi trades and interact with various levels of management and customers. The Foreman should possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the confidence and motivation needed to be a team leader. The Foreman must possess a through technical knowledge of the trade. The Foreman must be able to manage allocated departmental budget plan. The foreman will be responsible for 3rd shift spill response. Additional areas of responsibility include and are not limited to: Responsible for all aspects of providing janitorial services such as general office cleaning, restroom cleaning, carpet shampooing and vacuuming, tile floor stripping and buffing, restroom dispenser maintenance. Responsible for ensuring all employees are qualified to perform their assigned job functions by identifying and scheduling required training for their employees. Assist in the development of training procedures. Responsible for building strong customer relationships. Must be able to work a variable work schedule including overtime - Note Current Shift is 10pm – 6am Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts.
