About The Position

We're The Learning Experience Grand Prairie Forum Drive, located near Epic West (I20/PGBT). We're building out our education team, and we'd love for you to join us! Position Overview: We're seeking a highly organized and friendly Curriculum Coordinator to join our team. As a Curriculum Coordinator, you'll influence the growth and development of both children and teachers and will create an environment of collaboration and community. At The Learning Experience, we make early education joyful, engaging and fun so children are happy to learn, play and grow. Our curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development and engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development. This forms a foundation for kids to Learn, Play and Grow under the care of our nurturing teachers and staff. At TLE, we've created a full cast of characters that become our little learners' educators, partners and friends through their preschool education journey. Each character has a unique personality and area of interest and brings learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.

Requirements

  • Experience in a licensed childcare facility required.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a variety of duties.
  • Comfortable working on the computer and learning new apps.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to talk to parents and members of the public.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED, meet state specific guidelines for role, including, but not limited to, Infant and Toddler ECE component.
  • Extended experience in a childcare setting with a history of classroom leadership roles. A deep-rooted passion for early childhood education is essential.
  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role, including immunizations, required health and safety training, CPR/ First Aid Certification, and fingerprint clearance through the DOJ.
  • Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting.
  • Ensure that children are safe and that their everyday needs are met - this may include diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Model and encourage good social skills, e.g. strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ensure children are kept active, entertained, and engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Exhibit high levels of composure, patience, and professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas and classrooms.
  • Demonstrates full range of motion to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time without significant discomfort.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Reach, stretch with hands and arms.
  • Climb or balance.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Use of a stool or ladder to reach high places as necessary.
  • Ability to supervise by sight and sound.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom observations and evaluations, and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Manage teachers to ensure curriculum is followed.
  • Build and communicate weekly schedules.
  • Conduct and document monthly staff development meetings.
  • Support the center's marketing plan to drive enrollment and family retention.
  • Post engaging photos and captions on social media platforms regularly.
  • Maintain a high-quality teaching team that demonstrates professionalism and upholds brand standards.
  • Complete other projects and duties as needed.
