The Curbside Shopper, also known as an Omni Experience Ambassador, is responsible for general warehouse activities, including pulling merchandise from pick lists, moving items from the sales floor to staging areas, verifying counts, updating merchandise locations using a handheld scanner, and operating equipment. This role is integral to all digital initiatives such as BOPIC (Buy Online, Pick Up In Club), Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Team members are expected to uphold club policies, ensure compliance, act with honesty and integrity, prioritize member satisfaction, maintain a safe and positive environment, embrace diversity, collaborate, achieve goals with speed and agility, innovate, adapt, and maintain a friendly attitude. They are also expected to deliver service excellence to members, resolve concerns, and adhere to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate, Fast, Friendly) and GOLD Club Standards (Full, Fresh, Clean, Grand opening look daily), including maintaining a clean and organized OMNI space. Understanding departmental performance reporting and its impact on the business is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Required to meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLA’s), performance metrics and goals.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous order pulling experience preferred.
  • Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
  • Previous RF scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse activities, including pulling merchandise from a pick list and moving it from the sales floor to the staging area.
  • Utilize a handheld scanner device (RF) to verify merchandise counts, update locations, and pick orders from the sales floor.
  • Operate equipment as needed.
  • Work within all digital initiatives: BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.
  • Carry out assigned job functions and responsibilities, supporting club policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Act with honesty and integrity, prioritizing member satisfaction, and escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
  • Embrace inclusion and diversity, working collaboratively and respectfully.
  • Work as a team to achieve goals with speed and agility, innovating and adapting.
  • Maintain a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Deliver service excellence to members, resolving and deescalating concerns.
  • Commit daily to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate; Fast, Friendly).
  • Deliver GOLD club standards daily, maintaining a "Grand opening look" and a clean, organized OMNI Space.
  • Organize members' orders using bin storage based on gold standards, ensuring bins are regularly cleaned and maintained.
  • Understand and utilize production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
  • Communicate problems with inventory, equipment, and expired or short-dated items on pick lists.
  • Communicate with the club team for merchandise replenishment and work to pull items from reserve areas when possible.
  • Ensure timely order picking to meet productivity requirements and deadlines, including key performance indicators.
  • Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards adhering to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
  • Take responsibility for individual performance and collaborate with club leadership on performance metrics.
  • Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure the Ship From Club (SFC) area is neat, clean, and organized.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including trash and cardboard removal.
  • Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
  • Process returns to the club, determining appropriate handling (DDR or Membership desk).
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures, including proper dress code standards.
  • Meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLA’s), performance metrics, and goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  • Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
