About The Position

Summary: The Pizza Culinary Supervisor will be overseeing pizza production, supervising team members, and ensuring operational excellence in a high-volume environment. This position works closely with the Chef team to execute menu items, maintain food safety standards, and deliver a high-quality guest experience during events at State Farm Arena. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems. Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages. Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use. Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste. Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply. Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures. Helps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years of culinary experience in a high volume kitchen.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • The canidate will have experience with pizza dough, ovens, and pizza production.
  • Experience working in a pizza concept, Italian kitchen is strongly preferred.
  • 2–3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant, pizza concept, or Italian kitchen
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or trainer experience in a kitchen environment preferred
  • Experience with pizza dough preparation, pizza ovens, and high-volume pizza production preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
  • Experience with prep lists, pars, and kitchen production planning
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve during busy service periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sports & entertainment, catering, hotels, or high-volume venues is a plus
