About The Position

Summary: WE ARE SEEKING A DEPENDABLE AND DETAIL-ORIENTED DISHWASHER TO SUPPORT THE CULINARY OPERAITONS FOR REAL SALT LAKE SOCCER TEAM, CONCERTS AND OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS. THE DISHWASHER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING DISHE, UTENSILS, COOKWARE, AND KITCHEN EQUIPMENT IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT, ENSURING CLEANLINESS STANDARDS ARE MAINTAINED TO SUPPORT SMOOTH FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS ORGANIZED, EFFICIENT, AND ABLE TO WORK EFFECTIVELY AS PART OF A TEAM.

Requirements

  • Basic physical fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy trays pots, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to cleanliness: Strong focus on maintaining hygiene standards and cleanliness.
  • Teamwork Skills: Ability to work well with kitchen staff and follow instructions.
  • Time Management:Efficiently manage time to ensure dishes are cleaned promptly, especially during busy hours.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment: Familiarity with dishwashing machines and safety procedures is a plus.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based around event schedule.
  • Attention to safety: Adherence to health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure sanitary conditions.
  • Ability to work under Pressure: Maintain efficiency during peak hours and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must obtain valid Utah Food Handlers Permit or Manager Food Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Washing dishes: Scraping, rinsing, and loading dishes, glassware, and utensils into dishwashers or washing by hand.
  • Sanitising: Maintaining proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health and safety standards.
  • Organized Storage: Properly storing clean dishes, uensils, and cooking equipment in designated areas.
  • Maintaining dish area: Keeping the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
  • Trash removal: Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and ensuring proper disposal.
  • Floor Maintenance: Keeping kitchen floos clean and dry, including sweeping and mopping.
  • Assisting with food prep: Some dishwashers may help with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning food.
  • Following safety and sanitation procedures: Adhering to all food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures.
  • Reporting issues: Notifying the kitchen supervisor of any sanitation or equipment issues.
  • Maintaining dishwashing machines: Ensuring dishwahers are functioning properly and reporting any malfunctions.
  • Assisting with closing duties: May help with sanitizing cooking and food prep areas at the end of shift.
  • Unloading and storing deliveries as well as maintaining dry storage areas and shelves.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
  • Assisting with other cleaning tasks as needed.
