About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead the technology vision and strategy for a rapidly evolving organization, balancing hands-on technical expertise with executive leadership. The CTO will drive innovation, operational efficiency, and secure, compliant technology implementation across cloud infrastructure, payment processing, and AI initiatives. You will oversee the development and execution of scalable solutions, guide AI adoption, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology with business goals. The position requires a combination of strategic thinking, technical proficiency, and people leadership to deliver measurable business impact. Requirements

• 10+ years in application development, with proficiency in Java or similar technologies
• 5+ years managing AWS cloud environments and cloud-hosted production systems
• 5+ years of experience in payment processing, including regulatory compliance knowledge
• 5+ years in managerial roles leading technical teams
• Hands-on experience with Postgres, Agile methodology, SDLC, git code management (GitHub a plus)
• Strategic thinker with strong judgment in evaluating technology, AI, and business priorities
• Proven ability to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and secure implementation in regulated environments
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with AI/ML implementation, intelligent automation, and data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s technology and AI strategy, focusing on secure, compliant, and scalable solutions
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse technical team to achieve excellence and innovation
• Direct hands-on involvement in R&D, code review, AI/ML architecture, and technology deployment
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, outsourced environments, and payment processing systems
• Implement and optimize processes, workflows, and development plans to enhance technology efficiency
• Collaborate with business and operations teams to align technology initiatives with strategic objectives
• Manage the R&D budget and resources to maximize impact, efficiency, and growth
• Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks, including PCI and operational audit requirements
• Communicate complex technical strategies effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders
