About The Position

Fairview's St John's Hospital CT department is expanding its cardiac imaging services with new state-of-the-art CT Siemens Force scanners, offering an exciting opportunity for a CT Technologist to join a team investing in advanced technology and clinical growth. This full-time 1.0 FTE position (80 hours per 2 weeks) is based at St John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN, with a typical schedule of 7:30 AM - 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekends. The schedule may change based on department needs, and the position will also provide coverage at the Bethesda clinic as required. The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist operates independently within professional practice boundaries, performing all major work responsibilities. This role involves providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients and physicians, delivering age-appropriate patient care according to established standards, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The technologist must perform duties in compliance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT). A sign-on bonus, prorated based on experience, is available for this position.

Requirements

  • Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more years of experience in a related role
  • Previous ambulatory care experience
  • Additional certifications in Imaging
  • ARRT CT certification or successful completion within 1-1/2 Yrs

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
  • Performs high quality examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
  • Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
