About The Position

Fairview is seeking a CT Technologist to join their imaging team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work a specific night shift schedule: Week 1: Wednesday/Thursday 6:30PM - 6:30AM, Friday 11PM - 7AM; Week 2: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 11PM - 7AM. Due to the off-hours schedule, Fairview offers enhanced pay incentives including a $3.00 per hour Night Shift Differential and an $8.00 per hour Night Adder Pay Augmentation, totaling $11.00 per hour on top of the base rate for most hours worked. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus that is prorated based on experience. The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Requirements

  • ARRT Radiology Tech Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more years of experience in a related role
  • Previous ambulatory care experience preferred.
  • Additional certifications in Imaging
  • ARRT CT certification or successful completion within 18 months within 1-1/2 Yrs

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
  • Performs high quality examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
  • Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
  • Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
  • Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes
