About The Position

The Customer Service Representative I (CSR I) is the first level of support for internal and external customers at Niagara. This role involves assisting with overall customer needs and queries by collaborating closely with the Operations, Planning, Cost Management, and Sales teams. Responsibilities

  • Schedule customer delivery appointments and/or customer pickup appointments (50%)
  • Advocate for the customer by resolving and assisting with inquiries and concerns (25%)
  • Track customer delivery appointments and/or customer pickup appointments (25%)
  • Manage assigned low volume accounts
  • Act as an advocate for the customer with a balanced and objective approach
  • Respond to all customer emails/inquiries within 30 minutes and achieve resolution by EOD or within 24 hours if received after noon
  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction and drive success through identifying opportunities, problem solving and leading solution development efforts
  • Maintain awareness of all SKU’s in the customer portfolio and sourcing options for all items
  • Research inventory imbalances using all available resources and proactively identify root causes, corrective actions and solutions
  • Complete a weekly customer scorecard and understand how key metrics drive success including order volatility/smoothing, forecast vs demand, dynamic sourcing and customer behavior
  • Maintain a compliant Open Order Report
  • Utilize available resources to develop analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills and further Niagara knowledge
  • Establish productive professional relationships with key personnel across the organization with an emphasis on Production Planning, Sales, and Operations
  • Conduct Monthly/Quarterly Customer Updates and Presentations
  • Be responsible for interdepartmental cross training and understanding the supply chain process
  • Maintain consistent punctuality and attendance
