About The Position

The CSC Associate’s primary responsibilities include processing incoming stock and materials, picking orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and organizing the warehouse. This role requires observing and following safety rules, operating necessary equipment, preparing and packing orders, driving and operating a forklift (after company-provided certification), loading/unloading containers and trucks, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, complying with OSHA regulations, performing cycle count inventory, and cross-training in Shipper/Receiver and Cutter/Slitter duties. The associate is also expected to maintain regular and timely attendance and follow company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming stock and materials.
  • Pick orders from stock.
  • Pack and ship orders.
  • Organize the warehouse.
  • Observe and follow safety rules as prescribed by safety policies, including wearing required PPE.
  • Complete an expected amount of work based on time studies in accordance with schedule.
  • Operate all necessary equipment in a proficient manner.
  • Prepare orders by pulling materials, checking for accuracy, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area.
  • Drive and operate forklift after company-provided certification.
  • Load/unload containers and trucks, check material in, report discrepancies, and put stock in proper locations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by organizing the warehouse for orderliness, daily floor sweeping, and general housekeeping.
  • Comply with OSHA and other safety regulations, wearing proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Perform cycle count inventory.
  • Cross-train and perform Shipper/Receiver duties.
  • Print daily sales receipts and cross-check with computer software for accuracy.
  • Prepare and print shipping labels for domestic and international shipments.
  • Check received goods against purchase orders or receiving papers for quantity, type, size, part numbers, and dimensions.
  • Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations.
  • Maintain records and prepare receiving and shipping reports.
  • Load and unload trucks (as part of Shipper/Receiver duties).
  • Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons for shipping.
  • Affix proper postage to each package.
  • Track inventory and report shortages to the sales team.
  • Process orders based on the buyer’s preferred shipping system (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx).
  • Contact carriers and schedule shipping for each package.
  • Cross-train and perform Cutter/Slitter duties.
  • Set-up and operate cutting machines and branding machines.
  • Read work orders to determine belt dimensions and cut to customer specifications.
  • Assist supervisor/manager with machine maintenance.
  • Unload shipping containers and trucks, check-in material, report discrepancies, and put stock in proper locations (as part of Cutter/Slitter duties).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by organizing the warehouse for orderliness and daily floor sweeping (as part of Cutter/Slitter duties).
  • Comply with OSHA and other safety regulations, wearing proper safety equipment at all times (as part of Cutter/Slitter duties).
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance.
  • Follow company’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
