About The Position
To provide assistance to students when crossing roadways around the school.
Requirements
- Knowledge of general safety rules and techniques.
- Knowledge of laws regarding school crossings.
- Skill in directing traffic.
- Skill in observing the activities of others.
- Skill in effectively communicating verbally in English and Spanish.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to stay alert and monitor the activities of children.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
- Bilingual required.
Responsibilities
- Directs children safely across streets and roadways surrounding the school.
- Displays crossing signs and markers at designated times during the day.
- May pick up trash on school grounds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
