About The Position

The MICU Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The MICU paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport and may also provide patient care for patients in Miami Valley Hospital and any Premier Health facility where a Mobile Intensive Care Unit is based. The CareFlight MICU paramedic works with all populations of patients. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions.

Requirements

High School completion / GED
Certified as a Paramedic in the State of Ohio
Paramedic in the State of Ohio
BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required at the time of hire
ITLS or PHTLS certification required within 90 days of hire
NRP, ATLS (audit) certification required within 1 year of hire
CAMTS approved professional certification required within 2 years of hire
Minimum 3 years of full time Paramedic experience required
