About The Position
Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. Requirements
- Must be able use electronic documentation to enter patient’s transport information.
- A minimum of (3) years with a busy 911 system.
- Must have a current South Carolina Paramedic Certification
- Must have a National Registered Paramedic certification.
- Must have and maintain a South Carolina Driver’s license
- ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), BLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive, effective, care to any patient transported by McLeod HeartReach Critical Care Ambulance
- Maintains positive communication (written and spoken) when collaborating with healthcare facilities.
- Adheres to all McLeod and South Carolina EMS DHEC policies and protocols.
- Attends all required meetings and educational meetings.
- Maintains certifications and licenses as mandated by the position.
- Completes documentation (written and electronic) per policy.
- Stocks and cleans ambulances and medical equipment per policy.
- Identifies and quickly treats any potentially life-threatening situations.
