About The Position

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. Requirements

  • Must be able use electronic documentation to enter patient’s transport information.
  • A minimum of (3) years with a busy 911 system.
  • Must have a current South Carolina Paramedic Certification
  • Must have a National Registered Paramedic certification.
  • Must have and maintain a South Carolina Driver’s license
  • ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), BLS certifications are required.

Nice To Haves

  • FP-C, CCP-C, or CCEMT-P

Responsibilities

  • Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document.
  • Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
  • Provide comprehensive, effective, care to any patient transported by McLeod HeartReach Critical Care Ambulance
  • Maintains positive communication (written and spoken) when collaborating with healthcare facilities.
  • Adheres to all McLeod and South Carolina EMS DHEC policies and protocols.
  • Attends all required meetings and educational meetings.
  • Maintains certifications and licenses as mandated by the position.
  • Completes documentation (written and electronic) per policy.
  • Stocks and cleans ambulances and medical equipment per policy.
  • Identifies and quickly treats any potentially life-threatening situations.
