About The Position

Summary: The paramedic serves as a team member of the advance life support transport team by utilizing their knowledge and skills to stabilize and move patients. Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. Requirements

3 years in 911 system.
Advanced airway management.
Completion of ALS Transport Concepts.
NIMS 100 and 200.
High School Diploma
SC Paramedic Certification
National Registered Paramedic
Valid Driver's License
ACLS, PALS, BLS

Responsibilities

Maintains a professional image.
Provide comprehensive care to neonatal, pediatric, adult patients.
Maintains positive communication.
Adheres to regulations.
Completes accurate documentation.
Demonstrates competency in interfacility transport, emergent conditions, CRM, Just Culture, ICS.
General knowledge of Incident Command Systems.
Other duties as assigned.
