Title: Crisis Line Peer Support Location: Kentucky River Community Care – Hazard Sunrise Center Credentials: High School/GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Possess general knowledge of mental health, substance use, and crisis services. Have organizational skills as well as knowledge and skills in coordinating client care and referral during a crisis. Employment Type: Part Time/PRN Skills: Call line monitoring and ensure calls are answered quickly and professionally, document calls, assess risk of suicide in a manner that meets protocol, compete documentation for data tracking, assess calls for additional services. Eligibility Criteria: individual meets the eligibility requirements set forth in 908 KAR 2:220 Section 2 to serve as a Peer Support Specialist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 1. I am at least 18 years of age. 2. I have experience with mental health or substance use challenges and am now in recovery. 3. I have a current or past diagnosis of a mental health, substance use or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. 4. I have received or am receiving treatment. 5. I have a high school diploma or GED. 6. I have not been convicted of any disqualifying offenses as defined by state regulation. 7. I have completed or am in the process of completing an approved Peer Support Specialist training program in accordance with 908 KAR 2:220. 8.
