About The Position

Position: Youth Peer Support - Youth IOP Company/Location: Kentucky River Community Care/Letcher County Employment type: Regular Full-Time Credentials needed: High School/GED; complete KFLA training and core competency training. Special skills/knowledge required: must be at least eighteen (18) years of age but no older than thirty-five (35); receiving or have received at least one (1) child serving agency or a state funded service that is related to youth's emotional, social, behavioral, or substance use disability. Primary Functions: Use relevant personal stories to teach through experience. Serve as a role model for clients. Encourage client voice and choice during development and implementation of treatment planning. Support clients while receiving mental health services. Empower clients to be self-advocates. Help clients enhance relationships with community partners. Requirements
