About The Position

Job Summary: The Creeler is responsible for setting up and maintaining creels to ensure a steady supply of fiber to the tufting machine. This role involves unloading fiber pallets, monitoring fiber supply during production, and ensuring smooth operations in support of the tufting process. The Creeler plays an essential part in maintaining efficiency and quality in the production of turf. Night Shift (Monday-Thursday from 7PM-5AM) Key Responsibilities: Load bobbins of fiber onto creels, ensuring proper alignment to supply tufting machines. Monitor fiber supply during production, replacing empty bobbins promptly to minimize downtime. Inspect fiber for quality, identifying and removing defective material before it enters the production process. Assist tufting operators with any yarn-related issues during production Collaborate with the production team to ensure the correct types, colors, and amounts of fiber are used for each job. Maintain a clean and organized creeling area and follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and handle 10 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail in managing yarn quality and ensuring proper setup.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with machine operators and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing environment with prior knowledge working with creels or tufting machines preferred but not required.
