About The Position

Dime Community Bank (Dime) is currently hiring a Credit Risk (Bank Lending) Intern for its 2026 Summer Internship Program (see Responsibilities and Qualifications below). You will be working with industry experts who will provide you with invaluable skills to help you in your career. During the internship, you will have the opportunity to interact with senior executives and other interns in daily assignments and projects, skill building workshops, networking and volunteering opportunities, and exciting team building events! The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location. Responsibilities for the Credit Risk (Bank Lending) Summer Intern include: Providing support for the Credit Risk annual review process. Managing data updates in Credit Administration tools and databases. Assisting in data quality control checks and analyzing data anomalies. Facilitating reporting and ad hoc data requests. Interfacing with multiple departments including Accounting, Loan Operations, Data Analytics and Lending. Job shadowing multiple roles in Credit Administration to develop an understanding of key functions. Qualifications: Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited University/College pursuing degree(s) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business . Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion. Motivated. Curious. Eager to learn. Inquisitive. Proactive contributor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Basic Accounting Knowledge, including how to analyze, and interpret the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement would be a plus. Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, in Hauppauge, Long Island.
