About The Position

This role supports the commercial lending function by developing, analyzing, and maintaining financial information used in credit decisions. The Credit Officer 1 partners closely with Loan Officers and Credit Administration to ensure accurate underwriting, strong credit quality, and effective portfolio support. Additionally, this position assists in the development of junior analysts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 2 years of credit analyst or related experience
Strong understanding of lending regulations, credit policies, and banking operations
Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and borrower risk
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

Perform financial analysis on commercial credits, including relationships over $1,000,000
Prepare credit memorandums and loan write-ups for new, renewal, and extension loans
Analyze personal and business tax returns to assess borrower strength
Track and follow up on financial statements and required credit documentation
Interpret and apply credit policies and loan structures
Partner with Loan Officers on customer calls and relationship management
Assist with collection efforts on past due accounts, as needed
Review and support the work of junior credit analysts
Help train and develop entry-level analysts on cash flow analysis and credit fundamentals
