About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager to join our Accounting team! In this role, you will oversee the company's collections processes and credit policies, including analyzing customer creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and monitoring accounts to minimize risk. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • At least six years of credit and/or collections experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with staff, management, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Ability to compose clear and effective account

Responsibilities

  • Perform collections of outstanding balances across multiple lines of business while coordinating with sales representatives and other personnel to maintain excellent customer
  • Investigate the financial status of prospective customers, document findings, and make informed credit term decisions.
  • Maintain accurate customer credit data in the company database, including tax verification and account setup.
  • Establish and monitor credit limits, and handle special credit arrangements or deviations from standard payment terms.
  • Manage high-risk customer accounts to optimize collections and minimize bad
  • Conduct routine credit reviews of customer accounts and communicate findings to
  • Review and release orders based on customer history and judgment, and communicate delivery holds to relevant stakeholders.
  • Audit delinquent accounts and escalate to collections agencies or legal teams as
  • Build relationships with credit managers from competitors and similar companies for credit reference purposes.
  • Compile performance metrics and present them at management
  • Assist management in the development of credit policies and improve credit
  • Lead and develop the credit and collections team to ensure ethical, effective activities that comply with company policies and regulations.
