Credit & Collections Specialist

Global Furniture Group has an immediate career opportunity for a Credit and Collections Specialist in the Marlton NJ Area. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring all dealer accounts, analyzing aging and ensuring debts are paid according to company standards. They will be updating dealer profiles with financial information and identifying problem accounts. They will be enforcing credit limits, prove credits, control and release of orders to ensure shipment to credit worthy customers only as well as be involved in order entry support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or military equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Word Processing software.
Responsibilities
- Maintains bookkeeping databases & spreadsheets on various dealer accounts, updating as needed.
- Ensures that dealers receive at a minimum Monthly full statement of account If customer is not receiving automatically.
- Performs dealer account reconciliation.
- Investigates and resolves any account irregularities.
- Process credits related to Damages, product shortages, return of defective product, return of Sample product & pricing discrepancies.
- Prepares credits & rebills to be processed by Billing Specialist.
- Prepares Cash application sheets for processing.
- Prepares & Sends Proforma request for deposit payments to dealers & follows up on requested deposits appropriately.
- Reviews & releases orders with in credit authority approval Limits} on dealer accounts that may have kicked into a secondary review status.
- Works with limited supervision, mentors and develops others.
