About The Position

The Credit Associate I supports Credit Administration through coordination of tickler management, compliance reporting, and loan documentation activities. This role serves as a key liaison among customers, internal partners, and third-party vendors to ensure timely receipt and tracking of financial and compliance documentation. The position also provides administrative and operational support to Credit Administration leadership and committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial services or a related environment required
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with financial spreading software preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical s1tuat1ons and interpret and draw bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and general computer and internet skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and detailed documentation with accuracy.
  • High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential and sensitive financial and customer information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Abrigo Tickler requests and tracking for annual reviews, site inspections, and past due items, coordinate document collection with customers, internal Portfolio Management, and third-party vendors.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly tickler compliance reports for senior credit leadership and CCO reporting, segmented by loan type.
  • Provide loan documentation support using LaserPro for new loan originations and loan modifications (training provided).
  • Assist with credit committee and IARC activities, including meeting preparation, note taking, and production of formal meeting minutes.
  • Pull and maintain weekly delinquency, payment, and maturity reports and assist with related meeting discussions.
  • Communicate professionally and independently with clients, accountants, and financial managers regarding confidential financial information.
  • Receive training to support commercial portfolio annual reviews and renewals, including financial statement analysis, global cash flow analysis, industry and collateral review, and reference checks.
  • Assist Credit Administration in preparing Credit Action Approval Requests and Credit Action Memorandums.
  • Provide receptionist coverage as needed, including greeting visitors, answering, and routing incoming calls, and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, routing, and preparing documents for delivery or shipment.
  • Perform general administrative support for the Credit Administration team.
  • Comply with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and applicable OFAC requirements.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity observed during assigned duties in accordance with bank policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Credit Administration and bank operations.
