About The Position

As a Credit and Collections Specialist, you will perform full-cycle collections activities through email, phone, and customer portals. You will evaluate delinquent accounts and recommend their placement with collection agencies when appropriate. Additionally, you will identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and credit balances in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B Accounts Receivable or Credit/Collections.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills for email and phone interactions with vendors.
  • Customer service-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with Get Paid.
  • NACM certification or AA business degree is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations to correct billing and payment issues and prevent their recurrence.
  • Accurately maintain credit notes, payment commitments, and dispute records within the Get Paid reporting system.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide follow‑up documentation or clarification as needed.
  • Prepare and manage documentation and communications related to customer programs, including rebates, hauling agreements, and other contractual arrangements.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
  • Meet recurring performance and key business metrics; prepare and deliver regular reports to the Credit Manager.
  • Review reporting trends and provide actionable feedback to the Credit Manager to address and reduce recurring disputed items.
