About The Position

We are currently seeking motivated and member-oriented individuals to join our team as a Credit Analyst. We are seeking a Credit Analyst to analyze daily loan applications for credit worthiness and approve or decline applications per credit union and regulatory policy.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate degree, relevant certification or license, or specialized training.
Two to four years of current and applicable experience approving credit.
Experience with reviewing less than prime loans.
Understanding of collections process and indirect lending programs.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Monitors loan origination system for consumer loan applications.
Analyzes loan applications for credit worthiness per policy and procedural guidelines.
Verifies loan application information as necessary.
Makes loan determination per policy.
Reviews approved loan documents to ensure completeness and adherence to underwriting policies.
Documents loan decisions appropriately in file and loan origination system.
Assists Training Specialist in providing training for staff.
Offers continued assistance, guidance and counsel with credit decisions.
