About The Position

The Credit Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of credit files for commercial and other major borrowers and/or guarantors, ensuring compliance with bank policy and procedures. Key duties include compiling financial statement and tax return information, preparing reports and charts for cash flow analysis and projections, and evaluating current clients and credit facilities. This evaluation involves financial statement analysis, assessing adherence to borrowing bases and loan covenants, and identifying overall risk within the client’s business, industry, customer base, and geography. The role also requires performing research and analysis of industry and market data for financial projections, preparing monthly and quarterly loan reports for various committees and the Senior Lender, and conducting financial analysis for the outstanding Bond Portfolio, including tracking balances, purchases, redemptions, and rating changes. Additionally, the analyst tracks financial exceptions and collaborates with lenders to maintain current financial information, and performs underwriting for OnBoard Loans and LoanVantage Loans.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Related Discipline, or Two Years’ experience in Credit Analyst work related field.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of credit files on commercial and other major borrowers and/or guarantors according to bank policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for compiling financial statement/tax return information for prospective and current borrowers in consistent format. Prepare reports/charts for worksheets showing historical and current cash flow and projections.
  • Evaluate current clients and credit facilities by performing financial statement analysis, calculating adherence to borrowing bases and loan covenants, and assessing the overall risk within the client’s business, industry, customer base and geography.
  • Perform research and analysis of industry and market data to complete financial projections.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly loan reports for presentation for Loan Committee, Board of Directors and for the Senior Lender.
  • Responsible for financial analysis for the outstanding Bond Portfolio, including tracking balance, purchases, redemptions and rating changes; individual bond analysis.
  • Track financial exceptions and work with lenders to collect and maintain current financial information.
  • Underwriting for OnBoard Loans and LoanVantage Loans (or other, if applicable).
