About The Position

Responsible for providing analytical services relating to the lending activities of the institution; analyzing financial statements and other relevant data and making recommendations with respect to credit worthiness. Assist with reviewing appraisals.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field, or a high school diploma with a minimum of three (3) years accounting related experience, must possess strong analytical skills, organized work habits and good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct credit investigations and analyze credit information pertaining to loans;
Investigate all available sources of credit and financial information;
Analyze financial statements and related material;
Prepare presentations for loan committee and/or Board of Directors;
Prepare various reports for commercial lenders as needed;
Ensure current financial statements are received in a timely manner.
Order and review appraisals, and authorize payment;
Make recommendations to your supervisor regarding adding and removing appraisers;
Assist with gathering relevant financial information from various sources pertaining to a loan request;
Make recommendations to supervisor regarding revisions to the Loan Policy;
Ensure that the procedure manual for the department is kept current;
Make recommendations to supervisor about possible methods to improve the department;
Participate in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities;
Assume additional responsibilities as directed.
