About The Position

Penn Mutual is looking for a Creative Services Intern focused on traditional design. This is a full-time, 11-week summer internship, fully remote, and paid. You will gain valuable experience in the planning, production, and execution of graphic design and marketing projects for Penn Mutual and select entities – and have the following opportunities: Real world application of graphic design and design principles Participation in team and department processes, meetings, and communications Advanced training in multiple technical platforms Mentoring program Opportunities to develop formal and informal presentation skills Participation in full company internship events including information sessions and networking

Requirements

• Proven understanding of design theories – including color, layout and composition, and typography
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite are required
• Strong communicator in both written and verbal context
• Ability to plan and prioritize work towards the achievement of personal and corporate objectives
• Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement
• Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment
• Working towards a degree in graphic design or related discipline.

Nice To Haves

• Marketing coursework is a plus.
• Previous corporate or studio work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs graphic design (print and digital) and marketing tasks at appropriate skill levels
• Maintains organized files – including proper team server protocols, categorizes digital assets, and project notes and communications
• Integrates into collaborative team process, including the sharing of thoughts and opinions on design and multimedia solutions
• Active team member accountable for working towards shared goals and objectives
