About The Position

Korg USA represents some of the most influential brands in the music industry, including Korg, VOX, Aguilar, Spector, Blackstar, Audient, and Darkglass. From iconic synthesizers and amplifiers to world‑class bass gear and boutique pedals, our brands shape the sound of modern music. We are seeking a Creative Manager to lead and elevate our in‑house Creative / Content team. This role combines strong creative vision with disciplined operational leadership — ensuring our brands show up with clarity, consistency, and cultural relevance across all marketing channels. The Creative Manager is responsible for owning creative process, execution quality, and workflow excellence across Korg USA’s brand portfolio. This role owns and drives creative direction and execution for Korg, VOX, Aguilar, and Spector, while serving in an advisory capacity for Blackstar, Audient, and Darkglass—providing guidance, standards, and best practices without owning full creative execution for those brands. The Creative Manager leads and develops the in‑house Creative / Content team and partners closely with Marketing Leads, who translate category and brand strategy into executable campaigns. This role ensures that creative output is aligned, scalable, and consistently on‑brand across channels. This position reports to the Director of Product Planning & Marketing and presents creative priorities, work‑in‑progress, and recommendations at the Director level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field strongly preferred
  • 8–10+ years of progressive creative experience, including leadership of in‑house or hybrid creative teams
  • Demonstrated success leading creative execution within a consumer, lifestyle, or product‑driven organization
  • Strong project management and workflow leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Broad understanding of creative disciplines including art direction, typography, motion, UX collaboration, and integrated campaigns
  • Experience overseeing pre‑ and post‑production for campaign‑level photo and video shoots
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing across digital and offline channels
  • Ability to balance creative vision with business objectives and marketing strategy

Responsibilities

  • Drive and evolve creative process and standards for Korg, VOX, Aguilar, and Spector, ensuring clarity, consistency, and brand differentiation
  • For the Korg brand, coordinate with and incorporate direction from the Global Marketing team based in Paris, France, ensuring alignment with global brand standards
  • Serve as the senior creative decision‑maker on art direction, visual execution, and content presentation for owned brands
  • Provide creative guidance and advisement for Blackstar, Audient, and Darkglass, supporting alignment without owning day‑to‑day execution
  • Develop campaign‑level creative approaches aligned with brand, product, and marketing objectives
  • Translate complex product, technical, and sales information into clear, compelling visual storytelling
  • Create and oversee mood boards, storyboards, and creative concepts for photo and video shoots
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Creative / Content team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Assign, prioritize, and schedule creative work in partnership with Marketing Leads to balance quality, speed, and resource utilization
  • Provide regular feedback, critique, and coaching to elevate creative output and team capability
  • Own creative workflow and operational discipline across projects and campaigns
  • Manage creative projects using Basecamp or similar project management tools, ensuring clear task ownership, timelines, and visibility
  • Partner with Marketing Leads to intake, scope, and prioritize creative requests based on brand priorities and capacity
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements to scale output without sacrificing quality
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brief, and within scope
  • Partner closely with Marketing Leads as the primary execution counterparts, ensuring creative work supports campaign goals and timelines
  • Collaborate with Social & Influencer Marketing, DTC/eCommerce, Product Marketing, and Artist Relations to support integrated campaigns
  • Work with Social and Content teams to ensure creative assets are optimized for platform‑specific use cases and formats
  • Support campaign launches, product moments, and cultural activations across digital, social, paid, retail, and print channels
  • Leverage Adobe Creative Cloud and modern creative workflows to deliver high‑quality assets
  • Bring experience with—or strong willingness to learn and adopt—AI‑integrated creative tools to enhance ideation, efficiency, iteration, and production workflows
  • Stay current on emerging creative technologies and recommend responsible adoption where they add value
