About The Position

Do you share our passion for bringing a brand’s vision to life? Do you love collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver high-impact campaigns that drive awareness, impressions, and results? As a creative designer, (often called an art director in the industry), you will shape the overall look and feel of the brand while delivering compelling, meaningful creative work. We are currently hiring for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a creative designer with our marketing team. We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes. Collaborate with our innovative marketing team as a creative designer!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a creative designer/art director
  • A strong visual portfolio showcasing multichannel work that clearly represents a brand’s tone or identity – candidates must include a clearly accessible portfolio link (personal website or online folder)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma, and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of print, video, and digital production
  • Ability to create concept layouts and storyboards
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, consumer behavior, and trends.
  • Knowledge of brand development and digital design
  • Demonstrated experience presenting creative concepts and design rationale to cross‑functional partners and senior leadership, clearly articulating ideas and aligning creative decisions to business objectives

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce creative for advertising and marketing campaigns from concept to execution
  • Provide bespoke creative solutions that meet business objectives
  • Work closely with writers and designers to explore concepts and solve creative challenges
  • Ensure consistency across all channels by aligning production teams with approved creative in addition to maintaining consistent brand identity and design standards
  • Ensure consistent design strategy for digital, email, web, print, broadcast, video, and social media channels
  • Leads the creative thinking and provides direction to other creative designers, including creative mentorship
  • Advocates for the evolution and consistency of Best Buy Canada brand
  • Champion the use of generative AI, latest content trends and have a broad understanding of UX
