About The Position

The position of Crater is responsible is to ensure that product is packaged/crated in accordance with Allen Industries Inc. best practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge of packing/crating procedure
• Written and verbal communication proficiency
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Time management
• Apply personal safety measures including utilizing the correct PPE
• High School diploma, GED or the equivalent of training, education and experience
• One year of experience in Crating, service or similar industry. Sign industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Fabricate wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools and powered tools
• Assembles materials using nailing or stapling machine, screws, bolts, glue and hand tools
• Wraps and pads products
• Builds crate around large or odd-shaped articles
• Wraps and tightens metal bands around crate using banding equipment
