As a Craft Workforce Operations Admin for PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Katy, Texas, you’ll have the opportunity to provide administrative support across projects, including direct support to the craft workforce. This role partners closely with Project Administrators, serving as backup support, and assists with onboarding, data entry, workforce logistics, and housing coordination for new and active projects. Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 1 year of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations.
  • Basic skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting operations, construction, or field-based teams preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the Solar Operations team, including project teams and field leadership.
  • Supports the craft workforce by assisting with onboarding and new hire orientations.
  • Performs high-volume, detail-oriented data entry and maintains accurate records related to craft workforce, projects, and operations.
  • Develops and maintains organized filing systems to allow for efficient access and retrieval of information.
  • Supports the creation and maintenance of housing lists and logistics for new and ongoing project mobilizations.
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining workforce and project-related tracking spreadsheets, reports, and templates.
  • Communicates effectively with project teams, craft workforce members, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains strong, service-oriented relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travels to project sites as needed (approximately up to 25% travel) to support onboarding, operations administration, and project needs.
  • Other duties as required.
